TRAINING FOR THE CLASSROOM

Upon the receipt of a Volunteer Registration form, JA staff will schedule a training session within two weeks of your first class room visit. At this time, you may also get introduced to the teacher of the class in which you are volunteering if the teacher's schedule permits. The time frame for training generally ranges from 1 hour to 1.5 hrs.

In the training session, we typically describe the school, the grade, provide teacher info, and review the materials. We will familiarize you with the curriculum you will be teaching, and answer any questions you may have.

Missed your in-person or conference call training session? These tools should get you up to speed.
